I don't ever need to buy another day/travel pouch again; the great craftsmanship and clean, uncomplicated design of this piece ensure that it'll be with me and that I will cherish it for the rest of my life. And yes, they'll probably fight over it when I'm dead. It's a classic--integrity in every detail. The closure is simple and ingenious, and the strap is strong and fully adjustable. Item was shipped promptly, and even before it arrived I received a thoughtfully written email from Seller with helpful care instructions. I don't understand other reviewers complaints about not being able to carry stuff in it. I have a Black Berry (in an Otterbox), my wallet (also Saddleback), a pocket knife, a pen, a zippo, and a cigar cutter in mine. If I need to, I can fit my keys in, too. It's a pouch, not a full satchel, but you should know that going it. It's not going to fit your lunch.
If I need to mail something, or bring my checkbook somewhere, I can slip it in the back.
It's insanely sturdy, and great looking, and if you can't pull off carrying this thing around, you probably can't pull off any man bag.
It's perfect for just keeping my stuff together, so I don't need to worry about scooping up all the things I need each day.

There must be a name for the condition I have where, if I find something really fantastic, I generally like to keep the "secret" to myself. With my Kindle, though, it's not like that.
For anyone still looking for the perfect bag (carrying-case, whatever) to use with your Kindle 2, I have found it! Only today did I receive my leather pouch from Saddleback Leather. It fits the Kindle 2 absolutely perfectly and provides the ultimate in style and protection.
